Idiom Animated Lesson from Donnie Wrights on Vimeo.
"Idioms: Letting the Cat out of the Bag" is a 4 minute animated lesson that focuses on exposing students to idioms. Idioms are a very expressive form of figurative language. We hear them all the time and don't realize it. The goal of this piece was to define and expose sixth grand English students to idioms. All ages can learn from this piece but the focus was on this age group. (13 second clip).
Homelessness Awareness Animation from Donnie Wrights on Vimeo.
Homelessness Awareness Project. This video is my contribution to a traveling homeless awareness project that featured the groups that make up this growing population. My video focuses on a girl who was kicked out of her family home because she was lesbian. We were given extensive audio from interviews. Our challenge was to support their powerful stories with audio and visuals. (Images were created in Adobe Illustrator and edited in AfterEffects).
